LanderTek Mod is a new modular lander parts from Axial Aerospace and it will eventually be a complete suite of pods, tanks, engines, decouplers, and legs for building everything from light probe landers to heavy manned missions with loads of science on board. Here’s the current list of stuff in the pack/planned for the pack:
– A 2.5m stack (designed for landing the cupola, large lander can, and, of course, the 2.5m command pod from this kit) that consists of:A 2.5m 3 Man Command Pod (Exterior’s there… IVA is just a placeholder with a couple of RPM hud’s in the pilot seat so you can check out the sightlines for landing and such.)
+ A 2.5m descent stage (engine and fuel),
+ a 2.5m ascent stage (engine and fuel with integrated RCS for rendezvous)
+ a 2.5m decoupler to go between them
+ a 2.5m fuel tank that can go above either of the other stages to add delta-v
+ a 2.5m undercarriage with integrated landing legs
+ a 2.5m undercarriage without legs, for slinging gear underneath the lower stage
– A 1.25m stack (designed for landing light probe based payloads mostly)
PLANNED: A 1.25m 2 man command pod for light landers
+ 1.25m descent stage(engine and fuel),
+ 1.25m ascent stage (engine and fuel with integrated RCS)
+ a 1.25m decoupler
+ a 1.25m fuel tank that can go above either of the other stages to add delta-v
1 1.875m single stage (1.25m attachment on top, 2.5m attachment on bottom, so it works great with stock parts. Designed to provide proper ladder clearance with the small lander can, ALCOR capsule, and my (planned) 1.25m lander command pod)

A 1.25m ‘skycrane’ designed to mount above a payload, deliver it to the ground, then detach and go crash somewhere else. The skycrane system consists of:
A Skycrane module with integrated engines and probe core
A Docking port for attaching the skycrane to payloads
A fuel tank to add additional delta-v to the skycrane
An auxiliary engine module that is basically the skycrane without the probe core. Handy for rotating 45 degrees on top of the skycrane for more thrust, or flipping upside down on top of the skycrane to make a bidirectional tug.
A stack-mount RCS unit for use with the skycrane. Carries Monopropellant and adds 4 5-way jets to the skycrane. Useful for precision landings and for rendezvousing with a payload to ferry down.
In addition to the 2.5m undercarriage, there are two legs included. One stows pointed down, the other stows pointed up.
Ascent stages will have built in RCS. Descent stages will make certain to have places to attach landing gear. But there won’t be anything stopping you from putting the ascent stage on bottom… or stacking three descent stages on top of each other… etc.
The 2.5m command pod will eventually include 3 different seats with very different controls – a pilot with a lot of visibility, who gets flight and fuel data through huds, but not much else – a science and engineering station with action groups, cameras and other controls, and a docking module pilot’s seat that faces up. I’ll eventually release a docking port for the top of the pod that allows you to see through the top windows for visual approach to docking.
